Offer Accepted!

Well, it looks like we are buying that house! The bank (that owns the property) did not accept our offer, but countered. And after a long talk with the realtor and another longer "talk" with Bob, we decided to accept their counter.

Our acceptance is contingent on having a home inspection, which is scheduled for next Thursday. And if we are not happy with the home inspector's findings, we can back out of the deal and get our escrow money back.

So, fingers crossed! If everything works out, we will be closing next month! Though it will take awhile to get it move-in ready....

Diane,
Make sure the home inspector is accredited. He can also offer you some wiggle room as far as price negotiation goes. Ours knocked 10,000 off the price of our home.

But otherwise...Wheeeeee! I'm so happy for you both.

Yea!!! You finally have good things coming your way. I have followed you and Bob for awhile now and am so glad that wonderful things are coming to make your life easier. It will never be what you wanted, but it will be better. I know first hand that when your husband has a stroke life you planned goes out the door, but you can adjust and move on. Peggy

I'm excited for you both. I hope & pray all goes well, and the inspection is good. As pointed out earlier, do ensure the inspector is certified/licensed.

Hugs & prayers, Dan
