May 28th

Three years ago, today, Bob left this world.

This is how I like to imagine him, on the other side, with Zenith (our beloved Siamese) on his shoulder.

Zenith followed him, died two weeks later.

God, Bob loved that cat so much, and she loved him. Had to pull her off his dead body -- on the stretcher while they took his body out the door, and then she struggled out of my arms and ran to follow him... and I had to grab her, so she wouldn't run out the door...

Miss you, love you, so much, sweetheart. My heart still breaks, everyday.

And miss you, love you too, Zenith....

Good picture of Bob and Zenith. The blue in both their eyes really stands out.

Aww, there's something about a man who loves cats, especially Siamese. Of course, I'm partial since my husband loves Siamese cats... Did your Bob like Bob Dylan? The photo reminds me of the song Like a Rolling Stone with the lyric, "You used to ride on a chrome horse with your diplomat -- Who carried on his shoulder a Siamese cat."

Hope you're feeling better today.

I'd been thinking about you, specially because Bob passing remembrance was approaching. Thank you for sharing what happened with Zenith after Bob died, I thought Zenith died because it was sick, but she died from a broken heart.
Love,

Yadira

Lynn, I don't know that song, but Bob might have, if not would've loved it. He always wanted a Siamese and I am the "rescue" person who would not "buy" a cat (or dog) from a breeder, and then one day, he told me, out of the blue that he just "knew" there was a Siamese waiting for him at a shelter. He just knew it. And we had to go, that day. I thought he was nuts, because why would a Siamese cat be at a shelter, I mean they are expensive cats -- but OMG, we went to two shelters, and at the second one -- there she was -- waiting for him, an 8 week old kitten just brought in, as we were standing there, a volunteer came in with a cage of kittens and in that cage was Zenith --- it was karma. We named her Zenith, as her birthday was on the Summer Solstice (the height of the sun) and also "zenith" means "highest quality" as in the "best" cat at the shelter......(and yep, also the name a TV, we got a lot good laughs about that) ...... good memories... and I know they are together.

I think if you heard "Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan you'd recognize it...That is a cool story about the Siamese cat at the shelter. :) Yes, you are right that I imagine it is unusual to find one there. My husband loves Siamese and we do end up getting them from a breeder. A couple friends always say we should "rescue" one instead but he has his mind set and I doubt we'd have the good fortune to find one the way you guys did. Anyway, thanks for the follow up.
