Who knew a wheelchair ramp makes a dandy clothesline?! Well, now I do. And so do you.
And I know this because our dryer didn't receive the memo informing it that we don't have any money yet, and decided to die....
Then the repairman who was scheduled to arrive yesterday, called our house, and when no one answered, decided to take us completely off the repair list.
I guess he never received the memo informing him that harried caregivers, who are probably outside hanging a ton of wet towels on the wheelchair ramp to dry, sometimes don't hear the phone...
And of course, Bob's condom catheter didn't receive a memo informing it that the dryer had met an untimely death, and decided to explode all over the bedsheets. Ga!
But on a better note: BOB TOOK FOUR STEPS AT REHAB YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!
Of course, he took four small-shaky-hanging for dear life on that parallel bar-with PT holding him up steps.
But, none-the-less, 4 STEPS! And that was something to see!

I thought I had "Murphy" corralled here, but apparently he decided to break out and take a vacation in Florida at your house, bedding down in your dryer. Sorry about that. I know how important a good washer & dryer is to you and all caregivers.
On the other hand, great news about Bob taking 4 steps, even though it was with a lot of help. But it's a start and that is what is important. Hopefully, there will be continued improvement for him.
Lots of hugs & prayers, Dan
Dan I resemble that remark!
Diane,
It's a good thing to live in FL...plenty of sunshine.
You found the blessing in all that. Four steps is remarkable! WTG Bob!
Oh Diane
I am so happy to hear about Bob taking 4 steps.
I remember when Rick did that for the first time.. Even with people holding him up it was big and I cried ..
So sorry about your dryer.. Looks like my deck outside .. I hang towels and etc out there ..
In the motor home I don't have a washer and dryer so I drop off my laundry every other day.. And pick it up .. I suppose I could find one that picks up too ..
Sometimes I have to take the hose and rinse things out and let them dry before taking to laundry..
Hope it isn't long before you have your new home.. I talked to my friend in St Pete who has lived there for over 20+ years .. She lives on the Bay.. Her hubby passed away a few months ago from cancer and he was blind and bedridden near the end .. He was blind for many years , so she knows a great deal about what a home needs for disability .. Anyway she said if you want her phone number I could give it to you.. Let me know..
Take care and I love your clothesline lol
LOL - nice blurb D!
