Freaking Out!

State of Emergency in Florida, the whole state as Hurricane Dorian coming our way. The tract keeps changing, back and forth, east then west, latest tract had it circling our area....

I hate this.  Went to the store today, stocked up on bottled water, as I know that's the first to disappear on the shelves. Also got dog and cat food, bread and peanut butter for me.....

Wish Bob were here. Hate going through this alone. Scared.

It will be OK. You have friends right here with you if you need help. I know I cannot replace Bob, but you are not alone. Love ya.

I think you're on the west coast of Florida, which means the hurricane will have to go across the state before it gets to your area, so will have lost most of its strength. I'm in central Florida, about an hour inland from the east coast, and the most recent forecast I saw had it at Category 1-2 here when it passes. It will be uncomfortable for several hours, but we will be ok. I hope we don't lose power for long, if at all. I'll be thinking of you, and hoping for the best. Blessings to all of us in the hurricane's way.

Denise, I'll be thinking of you too! The last forecast I saw it could land as a CAT 4, geez-us --- and the "spaghetti" lines have Florida looking like a bowl of pasta. Who know where's it going, yet.... stay safe!

Y'all go through this several times a year. You should be used to it by now. I know I was. I bought 5-gallon jugs (30 gallons worth) to fill with water before the storm hit. After it was over, whatever I didn't use to take showers with because septic tanks were full of water. I kept plastic grocery bags to use in my bed side commode for the same reason.

If you decide to evacuate to north GA, we'll keep the light on for ya. But after Irma, we aren't exempt from hurricanes either. Although it was only a cat 1 when it hit us. There were enough rains and winds to knock down trees.

Thanks Jo, but I think I'll stay in my boarded up house, hiding under the bed.....

An interior closet would be better.
